Ultimately, meditation is true method to achieve long term goal of controlling anger. In meditation you learn that anger is just an energy that is neither good nor bad. It’s only when we identify ourselves with anger than fuel it, hold onto it, become consumed by it and things become destructive.

Understand that anger is your enemy and residing in you. It need to go away.  Take a few deep breaths, close your eyes and go to empty space, in stars, in nature. In few minutes there shall be a change in your state of mind.

Now pray to Lord, "Dear Lord, this anger is consuming me day by day. I need your support to get rid of this enemy. I sm so helpless against this powerful enemy but with your help, dear Lord, it can be defeated. Please let me come into your presence, let these angry thoughts go away in your black holes. Let I be happy and joyful in your presence"
